
Festival on the Farm Battle of the Bands terms & conditions
Festival on the Farm Battle of the Bands is dedicated to providing emerging original artists with a platform to showcase their talent and gain exposure. To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants, the following terms and conditions apply.

Eligibility
• The competition is open to unsigned ORIGINAL bands of all ages, genres and experience.
• Each band must consist of at least two (2) members.

Registration
• Bands must complete the online registration form and submit a showreel or YouTube video for judging. Failure to do this will eliminate you from the competition.
• Submitted videos must show the band performing at least one original song.
• The deadline for entries is Monday 19th May 2025.
• By registering, bands agree to adhere to all competition rules and regulations.

Winning Band Performance Guidelines
• The winning band will be allocated a performance slot on the Main Stage at Festival on the Farm 2025, between 1st August and 3rd August 2025. Performance time and date to be confirmed.
• The band's performance must be live, however backing tracks are permitted with prior arrangement.
• The band's performance to be made up of original songs but can include up to two (2) cover songs.

Judging Criteria
Band submissions will be judged based on the following:
• Musical Performance: Quality, originality, and musicianship.
• Stage Presence: Energy, engagement, and professionalism.
• Crowd Interaction: Ability to connect with and engage the audience (if a live video is submitted).
• Overall Impression: General impact and entertainment value.
• The head judge has final ruling on the four bands that proceed to the live final show. The four bands chosen to progress to the live final will be contacted by Festival on the Farm at least 2 weeks before the live final.

Prizes
• A slot on the main stage at FOTF 25 (date and time tbc) for our winner.
• Free recording of one song with Claire Sutton at Western Audio Studios in Swindon at a date to be arranged.
• Free 3-hour rehearsal at Western Audio Studios in Swindon at a date to be arranged to prepare for the festival weekend.
• Free FOTF weekend tickets for all band members and 1 guest each + camping.

Code of Conduct
• Band names and lyrics must not contain offensive or obscene material.
• Band members must wear attire free from offensive language or imagery.
• Any band member found under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will result in disqualification.
• Participants must be respectful towards other bands, event staff, and attendees.

Disqualification
• Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in immediate disqualification.
​
Liability
• Festival on the Farm Battle of the Bands is not responsible for any injuries, theft, or damage to equipment during the event.
​
Media Release
• By entering, bands grant permission for their name, likeness, and performance to be used in promotional material without compensation.
​
Amendments
• The organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, with changes communicated to participants.
